Coyotes Hosting Summer Camps

The Minnesota Hockey announced that the former and current Coyotes’ players will host three youth hockey development camps this August.

The first two camps for Squirts (ages 9-10) and Peewees (ages 11-12) will be held August 15-17, followed by Bantams/Midgets (ages 13-16) August 22-24.

The hockey camps will be held at Desert Schools Coyotes Center located at 7225 W. Harrison St. in Chandler.

Instruction will focus on power skating, small area games, off-ice conditioning, shooting, passing and in-depth goaltending.

Instructors for each camp will consist of current and former Coyotes players, coaches and broadcasters, as well as other NHL players.

Some of this year’s instructors will include Coyotes forward Shane Doan, defenseman Derek Morris, former Coyotes forward Brian Savage, former Coyotes defenseman Jim Johnson, associate coach Ulf Samuelsson, goaltending coach Grant Fuhr and strength and conditioning coordinator Mike Bahn.

Registration is limited to the first 36 participants (32 skaters and four goaltenders) in each age group. The fee is $250 and participants will be provided with a jersey, t-shirt, workout shorts and water bottle.
