2010 HEP Essay Contest Winners
The 2010 HEP Essay Contest concluded successfully during the FSN broadcast of Hockey Day Minnesota on January 23rd. Stephanie Eberhard from Roseville won this year’s contest. The Minnesota Wild created video features for each of the three finalists. These features aired throughout the day on FSN during the Hockey Day Minnesota broadcast. Minnesota Hockey HEP Quiz – Now Online!
The Minnesota Hockey HEP Quiz is now online! The section includes monthly prizes as part of a short parent quiz. At the conclusion of each month, families will be randomly selected from all quiz participants. Selected families will receive prizes including tickets to a MN Wild game, as well as be eligible for the grand prize drawings in January! Welcome to the first edition of the Hockey Education Program (HEP) newsletter. It’s hard to believe that it has been five years since we created and introduced HEP at the “Face Off.” Changing the youth hockey culture and behaviors was certainly an ambitious undertaking but one that we were confident would produce desired results. And it has! We aren’t where we want to be yet, but we have taken great strides to creating a more positive environment for our hockey players to learn, develop and have fun.
