The Minnesota Hockey Reebok High Performance Program

Thank you Fox Sports North and Minnesota Wild
It’s hard to believe that the first Hockey Day Minnesota was in 2007, just four years ago. The wonderful event seems to be as much a part of a Minnesota winter as snow, potholes and election recounts. Hockey Day Minnesota, a statewide celebration of the game, began as the cooperative creation of the Minnesota Wild and Fox Sports North. Both organizations came together and, like Hallmark, created a holiday where there once was none. The passionate feelings expressed by hockey families, neighbors, teams, associations and communities this past Saturday has actually always been there. The Wild and FSN just gave us a common day to come together and give thanks that we are the lucky ones who live in Minnesota, the one state that could truly celebrate such a day. Massachusetts has Patriots Day, Minnesota has Hockey Day—it just makes sense.
Food Drive Around the State of Hockey on Hockey Day Minnesota 2011
The National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild, in partnership with FOX Sports North, Wells Fargo, the University of Minnesota, the Moorhead Youth Hockey Organization, the Houston Aeros and Minnesota Hockey, announced today a Food Drive will be held in conjunction with the fifth annual Hockey Day Minnesota 2011. Donations will benefit Second Harvest Heartland and Great Plains Food Bank in Fargo/Moorhead.
Science of Hockey Contest for Minnesota Students
Science just got a whole lot cooler. As Minnesota prepares to host the 2011 NCAA Men’s Frozen Four April 7 and 9, kids across the hockey-crazed state can channel their excitement into “The Science of Hockey,” a unique educational opportunity designed to teach the basics of science involved in the sport of ice hockey.
Creating a Culture of Hockey in Perham
The Perham school district rivals and competes with the best the state of Minnesota has to offer. District 549 is a recent “Challenge Cup” winner and a perennial contender in all sports and academic activities, from gymnastics to knowledge bowl, from wrestling to mock trial, Perham excels. Perham is situated in an area of over 1,000 lakes. There is ample hunting, fishing, skiing and many more fun outdoor activities. However, as a community, Perham has never offered hockey! PAYHA is trying to change that.
